Cake of Hungary celebrates 18 years
For the 18th time the Hungarian Confectioners’ Craft Union (MCI) is organising the Cake of Hungary competition, the theme of which is the 140-year-old traditional Hungarian dessert, Dobos cake.

he organisers aren’t looking for a new Dobos cake: they would like to see what new ideas the contestants can come up with, using the ingredients that give the Dobos cake its character (eggs, sugar/caramelised sugar, butter, dark chocolate, bourbon vanilla sugar) and some special Hungarian ingredients, e.g. spices native to the Carpathian Basin, Hungaricum pálinkas or wines, indigenous Hungarian fruits, etc. //
