József Dobos C. introduced his iconic cake in 1885 and this year’s competition pays tribute to the work of this world-famous master! T
he organisers aren’t looking for a new Dobos cake: they would like to see what new ideas the contestants can come up with, using the ingredients that give the Dobos cake its character (eggs, sugar/caramelised sugar, butter, dark chocolate, bourbon vanilla sugar) and some special Hungarian ingredients, e.g. spices native to the Carpathian Basin, Hungaricum pálinkas or wines, indigenous Hungarian fruits, etc. //
