After 16 years, the Red Bull Ládaderbi race will be held again
The Red Bull Ládaderbi was born from the combination of speed, creativity and complete madness.
It was 16 years ago that we last took part in Ládaderb in Budapest. Anyone who visited the Citadel at that time still remembers the rolling coffin of the field, or the wedding evoked in one of the team’s performances, where two cattle were joined together. Among the teams that started were Ÿsküllő, Air-Zsike Team and Előre az AranyÉr! formation also named. In one of the reports, the event was referred to as the event where “a bearded baby, SpongeBob himself or a volunteer railway girl could come across the crowd at any time”.
Now, after all this time, one of the craziest Red Bull events is back, where self-powered, homemade cars compete against each other. On June 30, the slopes of Tabán will provide the venue for the car specials of creative engineering geniuses. Only contestants over the age of 18 are welcome to participate in the event. The human-powered sufnituning vehicles can be up to 2 meters wide, 6 meters long and 2.5 meters high, and can weigh up to 80 kilograms without the driver. Based on the regulations, the built-in brake and steering wheel are mandatory to ensure that they can cover the 400-meter distance.
