147 billion HUF in sales from medicinal products and pharmaceutical preparations without a prescription
The retail sales of nonprescription drugs from medicinal preparations (OTC), increased by 11 percent to approximately 147 billion HUF last year, compared to 2012 – the Nielsen consumer information and knowledge services company announces on the basis of the measured fifty-three different product groups.
The largest demand occurred towards vitamins and dietary supplements, which has a share of 31 percent in the total income of the last year – Osztoics Bernadett, customer relations director of Nielsen informs. The market share of vitamins and dietary supplements is followed by general antipyretics and analgesics with 16 percent and cough suppressants with 7 percent. These three categories are covering 54 percent of the total turnover.
