Fishing contributes to the Hungarian GDP with hundred billion forints
Fishing as recreational activity, combined with the use of ancillary services, contributes to the gross domestic product (GDP) with a total of 100 billion HUF Nagy István, Minister of Agriculture said on Thursday at the 6th National fishing sport gala and support banquet at the Hungexpo Budapest Fair Center.
Nagy István said that the changes in the fish farming sector were successful on the basis of experience and feedback so far. In a few years, the number of registered fishermen has increased by more than 100,000 to over 500,000, making the Hungarian National Fishing Association (MOHOSZ) permanently the largest networked civil organization in Hungary.
