African swine fever spread throughout Europe
The African swine fever spreads throughout Europe, and the epidemic of African swine fever (ASF) has worsened in several European countries over the past two months – the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) announced in a statement. In Hungary, the presence of ASF has been confirmed by the Nébih Laboratory only in feral pigs.
According to a communication of the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) sent to MTI, it is of the utmost importance that in Hungary, in order to prevent the spread of the disease to domestic pigs, keepers and hunters have to comply with the disease control provisions. (MTI)
