Manufacturers of sweets expect a record annual turnover of over 10 billion forints
Seasonal sweets can be in excess of 10 billion forints in December, and annual candy can sales may increase from last year’s 200 billion forints to 250 billion forints.
Still chocolate Santa Claus figurines are the most popular among the Christmas shoppers. candy remains “in the first place”; and 86 percent of households also buy Christmas fondants for Christmas. Christams fondant with gel is still the most preferred, while the Christams fondants with alcohol or chestnut are not so much sought after – was said at a press conference on Tuesday, in Budapest.
