Zsigó Róbert: Hungary has returned to Europe’s gastronomic map
Hungary has returned to Europe’s gastronomic map over the past decade – Zsigó Róbert, Minister of State of the Ministry of Agriculture said on Thursday in Szolnok at a conference, where the relationship between Hungarian cuisine and Hungarian hospitality and Hungarian agriculture was analyzed.
The Minister of State stressed that animal and plant varieties representing the farming traditions of the Carpathian Basin – such as mangalica, makói hagyma, szegedi paprika and Hungarian gray cattle – have qualitative characteristics that can not be replaced by anything else. Their preservation therefore is our cultural and national economy interest – Zsigó Róbert told, adding that the Hungarian rural policy and the government’s measures serve this purpose as well. (MTI)
