GreenTechAward – a new award
The highlight of the event was the presentation of the FTS25 GreenTechAward – Champion of Sustainability Award, announced for the first time this year by NAK. In the SME category the winner was Virgin Oil Press Kft. (Grapoila), which has implemented one of the most inspiring circular economy models in the Hungarian food industry. In the large enterprise category OSI Food Solutions Hungary Kft. finished first, which operates a complex environmental management system at its meat processing plant in Bábolna. Auchan Magyarország Kft. received the award in the wholesale category: the retail chain has been a pioneer in green retail for years, using solar panels and energy-efficient cooling technology at several of its locations. The special prize went to Zala-Cereália Kft., a grain processor that relies on local raw materials and a short supply chain, while covering its own energy needs from renewable sources.

At the 2025 FoodTechShow, the GreenTechAward – Champion of Sustainability was presented for the first time, recognizing the most outstanding green and innovative enterprises of the Hungarian food industry.
