Aldi launches social media inspired wine club
Aldi has debuted a new wine club, inspired by social media, as it looks for “authentic” influencer-led reviews, Grocery Gazette reports.
The discounter has launched its new initiative, dubbed “Winefluencer Club”, to give wine lovers the chance to share their reviews of Aldi’s latest Spring/Summer wine range on social media.
The supermarket said it is searching for ten wine connoisseurs to join the club, where they will receive free bottles from Aldi’s wine range in exchange for “authentic” social media reviews.
Over three months, Aldi said members will “uncover gems” from the discounter’s collection, due to land in stores from 3 March, and provide valuable feedback that will help shape its future wine selections.
Aldi managing director of buying Julie Ashfield said: “At Aldi, we’re embracing the changing world of wine.
“With the launch of our Winefluencer Club, we’re not just offering great wine, we’re creating a community where passionate wine lovers can share their thoughts on the range. It’s all about making wine something that everyone can enjoy, no matter their level of expertise.”
