Ukrainian wheat and corn production is at risk
Much of Ukraine’s grain exports could end this year, leading to serious food problems, according to agrarszektor.hu.
ING Bank and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) estimate that Ukraine would have accounted for 12 percent of world wheat exports this year, with nearly one-fifth of corn production coming from that country. Experts now fear that the Russian-Ukrainian war will ruin both production and exports. (agrarszektor.hu)
