Fair director: this year’s Farmer Expo in Debrecen was a success
This year’s Farmer Expo in Debrecen was a success: 207 exhibitors presented themselves on five thousand square meters in three days, farmers from all over the country, from Zala to Szabolcs, came to the professional conferences and demonstrations, the fair was visited by about 15 thousand visitors – said the fair director after the closing on Saturday.
László Vaszkó stated that their goal was primarily to transfer knowledge to the actors of the agricultural sector, which is struggling with many difficulties, and the programs were accompanied by great professional interest.
He highlighted the conference on pigs, at which more than 180 domestic pig farmers reviewed the situation of the sector, but similar interest accompanied the discussion of dairy cow farmers and sheep breeders in northeastern Hungary.
In connection with the latter, he noted that the breeders did not have to take any of the presented sheep breeding animals home, all of them found new owners.
László Vaszkó said that food processors and traders met at the Farmer Expo. More than a hundred Hungarian food processing farms and representatives of supermarket chains reviewed how Hungarian products could appear on international markets, he explained.
