The value of last year’s agricultural exports is expected to be record high
Last year’s export of agricultural products is expected to be record-breaking. In the first 11 months of the year, agricultural export exceeded the 2016 level by 8 billion euros (2400 billion forints) -Czerván György, Minister of State of the Ministry of Agriculture (FM) said on Wednesday in Budapest at a press conference.
The event was held at the HUNGEXPO Budapest Fair Center, where Sirha Budapest’s international food and HoReCa trade fair was opened, along with the joint meat consumption promotion campaign of the Agrármarketing Centrum (AMC) and the VHT.
According to Czerván György, the pig sector’s output last year amounted to about 240 billion forints, about 9.4 percent of the total agricultural output. (MTI)
