The population of caged laying hens is not expected to be reduced due to EU standards
The population of the 4.2 million caged laying hens is not expected to be reduced in Hungary next year.
More than 90 percent of the farmers have started to expand the cages in accordance to the EU standards before the 31st of July – said Végh László, President of the Hungarian Laying Hen Hydride Breeders and Egg Producers Association, Chief Executive of Csaba-táj Zrt. to MTI on Friday.
