South American chickens can be imported into the EU with duty discount
The EU poultry market can be adversely effect if the European Union wants to offer a preferential / duty free import tariff quota for the South American Free Trade Association (MERCOSUR), according to industry experts – writes agrarszektor.hu.
Facilitations will not only have market loss but also pose a serious risk to public health. Meanwhile, the Republic of South Africa has raised a high protective duty tariff on poultry from the European Union, so the EU poultry sector is now losing one million euro a week. (agrarszektor.hu)
