Coop Sweden to introduce recycled plastic packaging for meat and fish
Coop Sweden’s intention is to replace the plastic trays used for packaging meat and fish with transparent, recycled plastic designs. With this move the retailer will reduce its virgin plastic use by 57 tons a year. Coop’s goal is to use 100 percent renewable or recycled raw material for packaging private label products and for in-store packaging by 2030.
