Sustainability is once again at the forefront at Auchan
In Auchan, sustainability extends beyond store operations to inventory, packaging and customer attitude formation. In this spirit, the department store chain will hold green weeks from February 6 to 19, when products whose production, composition, recyclability, packaging or lack thereof point towards environmental awareness will be highlighted. This means hundreds of products, from cleaning products to food, clothing and technical products. The more environmentally friendly products will be displayed in a prominent place at the entrance to the stores and will also be featured in the specials. As a novelty of this year’s green weeks, a kilo-sized used clothing market will also be held.
For two weeks (from February 6 to February 19), sustainable products will be in the spotlight in Auchan Hungary stores. During the green weeks, the green product range – in which, in addition to food, cleaning and hygiene products, as well as clothing and technical items are also represented in large numbers – will be on sale. The price reduction ranges between 10-28%. This year, Auchan is also strengthening its position with a new feature: during the green weeks, a kilo-sized second-hand clothing fair will be held, with timeless, quality clothing available for HUF 3,890 per kilo.
In addition to the discounted prices, they help consumers make informed purchasing decisions with a number of attitude-shaping messages and useful information, and in stores, they support orientation in the environmentally conscious product range with spectacular displays and signs. The selection includes dishes made from recycled materials and more environmentally friendly cosmetics or energy-saving household appliances, and even houseplants that come from environmentally conscious cultivation. Many products are marketed without packaging, of course, while respecting food and hygiene safety.
Although these products will be displayed together and clearly visible in the stores, it is worth browsing the specials magazine before making a purchase, as it contains useful descriptions of the products, as well as important information and practical advice for more conscious shopping. In addition, anyone who chooses from the magazine and purchases at least 3 green products with the Bizalomkártya and enters the prize draw in the OkAuchan application can enter for the Auchan gift packages waiting to be drawn, as well as the Bizalomkártya points that can be redeemed.
