Unilever makes more pledges
Unilever has made a pledge to halve its ‘virgin’ plastic (that is non-recycled plastic) use by 2025. To this end the company will utilise more than 100,000 tons less plastic packaging and increase the share of recycled plastic. Unilever will also collect and process more packaging waste than it produces – this means a quantity of 600,000 tons a year. Unilever will ensure all of its plastic packaging is reusable, recyclable or compostable by 2025, and will use at least 25 percent recycled plastic in packaging. //
