Lidl donates another HUF 100 million to the Heim Pál National Pediatric Institute
As a responsible and ethical company, Lidl Magyarország considers it important to contribute to supporting disadvantaged and sick children and their families through its donation programme.
As part of this, Lidl has been supporting the provision of quality meals for young patients and their parents at Heim Pál National Pediatric Institute for many years.
“It is very important for us to contribute to socially important causes by offering real help. Our cooperation with the Heim Pál National Pediatric Institute is a good example of this, as over the past six years we have made more than HUF 450 million worth of food donations to serve high-quality, varied meals for the children in the institute. We intend to continue this in the future, so we have decided to donate food worth more than HUF 100 million over the next year”,
told head of corporate communications Judit Tőzsér.
Each month hospital specialists determine the composition of the donations, taking into account a varied and healthy diet and different dietary requirements.
“We often have to serve 39 different meals, ranging from puréed food to special diets for children with food allergies. This is a big challenge, and it is good to know that we aren’t alone. We are grateful that Lidl not only donates, but also shares our belief that recovery depends not only on medication, but also on attention, care and a plate of delicious food”,
emphasised Norbert Palócz, financial director of the Heim Pál National Pediatric Institute. (x)
