Co-op targets online and vegan opportunities for 2020
Co-op, the major UK convenience retailer, has set out plans to extend its reach in online sales in 2020 as well as to enhance its product offer, with a new plant-based private label range under the GRO sub-brand.
Over the next 12 months same-day delivery services will be made available across almost 100 towns and cities. Currently available in London and Manchester, shop.coop.co.uk will reach 250 stores in the year.
Launching on 8 January 2020 Co-op’s new GRO range will added a specific plant-based sub-brand to the Co-op private label portfolio. Including products relevant to all mealtimes from breakfast to dinner, GRO will bring innovative meal solutions to the growing vegan market, making its easier than ever for shoppers to buy into meat-free options.
