Gyermelyi Zrt. has built a new mill, with which the company’s daily wheat processing capacity increases to 800 tonnes – this is the biggest capacity at a single site in Hungary.

Thanks to the investment, Gyermelyi will process 90,000 tonnes more cereal grains per year, making it possible for the firm to serve the ever-growing demand from retailer trade. The new mill utilises state-of-the-art technology, and its environmental load is minimal. As the mill’s energy use is very efficient, Gyermelyi’s competitiveness also increases. The project was realised from HUF 6.5bn, from which HUF 1.7bn was non-refundable state loan within the framework of the Investment Support Scheme for Large Companies. Gyermelyi – which employs more than 500 people – also created new jobs with the investment.

The new mill was inaugurated by Gábor Erős, MP for Komárom-Esztergom county, MIhály Varga Minister of Finance and Béla Tóth, chairman of the board of Gyermelyi Zrt.
