A new surtax may come
Designed along the lines of the Polish retail surtax, the Hungarian government may decide about a new measure during the spring, which would provide a more proportional burden sharing for the large department store chains – portfolio.hu quotes Magyar Idők.
Szatmáry Kristóf, ministerial commissioner of the Prime Minister's Office in charge of trade policy told Magyar Idők that the planned Polish retail surtax’s fate seems to be favorable and the Hungarian government may decide about a measure which would provide a more proportional burden sharing for the busy department store chains in order to equalize market power relations.
