New, sustainable corrugated board box from Dunapack – a modern solution for fruit and vegetable packaging

Changing expectations and a new approach to packaging

In fruit and vegetable packaging environmental regulations have become stricter, the EPR fees and the EU’s PPWR regulations have introduced new costs, plus consumers are now more conscious than before. Consequently, the market is clearly going towards lighter, recyclable and lower-priced designs – just like Dunapack Packaging’s new corrugated board box. When packaging fruit and vegetables the moisture content, fragility and freshness of the product are all critical factors. All of these were taken into consideration when developing the new box, which is characterised by excellent load-bearing capacity, optimal protection and flexible sizing.

The unprinted inner surface allows for more cost-effective production and simpler logistics, while the side walls can be printed according to partner needs, making the box suitable for both branded and neutral use. It is made from 100% paper-based, recyclable and biodegradable material, fully complying with the EU’s recycling regulations. What is more, the optimised material use results in lower production costs. With this solution Dunapack Packaging is returning to the fruit and vegetable market, offering a real alternative to producers, retailers and logistics partners.(x)
