SPAR already has more than 100 franchise stores
There are already more than stores in SPAR’s franchise network and these shops give work to more than 1,300 people. It was four years ago that SPAR’s first partner shop opened in Mór. The 100th store joined the SPAR network this September: a family shop on Ungvár Street in Budapest’s Zugló district, owned by Gábor Bruzsa and Tímea Bruzsáné Révész. Before reopening as a SPAR partner store, the 500m² went through a complete overhaul with a HUF 90-million investment, with funding from the central bank’s Lending for Growth Programme via Raiffeisen Bank.
New jobs were created by the investment and the owners plan to make their other Budapest store part of the SPAR franchise network in the first quarter of 2017. Shoppers can find the usual large selection of products in the 100th SPAR partner shop: altogether 4,000 different products are sold, including the majority of SPAR’s private label selection. At the moment 81 private traders operate 104 stores in partnership with SPAR. (x)
