Information about the application for drone application of plant protection agents and preparations with a plant protection effect
In the past period, Nébih employees have received many questions regarding who, where and how can apply for authorization of plant protection agents and products with plant protection effects for application by drone. We have collected the most important information related to the topic below.
The relevant legislation* stipulates that only plant protection agents approved for application by unmanned aerial vehicles and plant protection products (preparations) that do not qualify as plant protection agents can be applied with an unmanned aerial vehicle (drone). It follows from the above that plant protection agents and preparations approved for ground or “classic” aerial application (by airplane and helicopter) cannot basically be used for this purpose. Their use is only possible after their existing valid license is extended to drone application.
The license holder of the concerned drug or preparation or its official domestic representative may apply for an extension of the license document
The application for the extension must be submitted to Nébih as follows:
– electronically (e-paper: https://epapir.gov.hu)
– documents to be submitted:
• official request
• the results of a GEP efficiency test** carried out with a drone
• description of drone type and nozzles used
• drift data and information
During the procedure for amending the license document, Nébih may also request additional documents from the applicant, if this is necessary for the evaluation. Questions related to the submission and evaluation of the application can be addressed to the competent specialists of Nébih at the e-mail address ppp-registration@nebih.gov.hu. At the moment, there are no applications awaiting evaluation at Nébih, however, the authority is prepared to evaluate all applications in a supportive manner as quickly as possible.
