The relevant legislation stipulates that only plant protection agents approved for application by unmanned aerial vehicles and plant protection products (preparations) that do not qualify as plant protection agents can be applied with an unmanned aerial vehicle (drone). It follows from the above that plant protection agents and preparations approved for ground or “classic” aerial application (by airplane and helicopter) cannot basically be used for this purpose. Their use is only possible after their existing valid license is extended to drone application. The license holder of the concerned drug or preparation or its official domestic representative may apply for an extension of the license.
