Manufacturer brands stayed strong

Shower gel is in the top 10 of the 70 household chemical and cosmetics categories audited by Nielsen. Sales were worth HUF 15 billion in the March 2014-February 2015 period, having increased 4 percent; volume sales improved by 5 percent. Stores bigger than 2,500m² saw their sales share drop from 42 to 39 percent, while drugstores’ share rose from 32 to 35 percent. Manufacturer brands were stable at 88 percent (in value).
