Switzerland absorbs the mass of domestic meat industry workers
The search for butchers and beef boners in Switzerland is increasingly aimed at Hungarian workers, and not by chance. A Swiss meat plant is currently offering such a high salary for these positions that it far exceeds domestic wages.
Butchers and beef boners with more experience are in demand in Switzerland, but language skills are not absolutely necessary to apply. The salary amounts to more than HUF 1 million per month, which is much higher than the Hungarian average. They provide additional assistance in filling the positions, for example in travel and providing accommodation.
The salary includes a gross average hourly wage of 27 Swiss francs, as well as other benefits such as a meal allowance and travel to work. They also arrange housing outside in exchange for a rental fee, and they also help arrange health insurance.
Swiss salaries offer more opportunities to save and achieve a better quality of life than domestic salaries. A Swiss gross hourly wage of 27 francs means roughly 21.5 francs net, which corresponds to roughly HUF 1.3 million per month. Compared to Hungarian wages, this is a significant advantage.
