Tens of thousands of visitors are expected to this year’s Beer Festival and Knuckle Parade to Békéscsaba, which will take place from 11 to 14 June. The programs include traditional knuckle stew cooking competition and visitors can also taste special beers.
Bora Imre, the chief organizer of the event told MTI that 40-50 thousand visitors are expected. He added that the first barrel of beer will be brought by a parachute traditionally to the event. During the four days of the festival 700-800 barrels are expected to be consumed. The festival’s beer this year will be the Hunyadi Mátyás (Matthias Corvinus) beer again, but the visitors can also taste such specialties as the Belgian chocolate beer. (MTI)
