More fertilizer was sold in the first three quarters of last year
Farmers in the first three quarters of last year, purchased 13 percent more nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium (NPK) fertilizers than in the same period of 2010 – informs the most recent issue of Agrárgazdasági Figyelő.
According to the publication of the Agri-Economic Research Institute (AERI) in the January-September period of 2011 a total of 893 thousand tons of fertilizer was sold to farmers directly in Hungary. However the cost of fertilizer, because of the greater volume and higher prices increased by 52 percent – reports MTI.
