The Nébih seized more than six tons of fish
During the special check on Tisza-based restaurants and groceries, just over a weekend, the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) prohibited the distribution of more than 600 kilograms of fish products on the market because of their unidentifiable origin – Nébih told MTI on Wednesday.
According to the information, experts have examined 49 catering units in 6 counties, of which unprocessed fish products were found in 9 restaurants. In most of the cases, frozen fish meat was not labeled, so based on the presented accounts, it was not possible to identify the origin of the checked items. The fine in the case is between 100 and 500 thousand HUF. (MTI)
