More than 80,000 tons of tomatoes were processed this year by Univer Product
Of the quantity purchased, it produced 15,000 tons of concentrated tomatoes, of which 3,800 tons are used for its own condiments, 3,400 tons are sold domestically, and 7,800 tons are sold abroad.
Operating one of the largest and most modern processors in Central Europe, Univer buys more than 70 percent of the domestic crop as the largest tomato processor in the country. Its partners are growing industrial tomatoes in an ever-increasing area with rising purchase prices from year to year. Compared to last year, the price increase was 13 percent, they added. (MTI)
