More than 50 firms join SPAR Austria’s initiative
SPAR Austria launched its sugar-reduction initiative in April 2019, which now has 52 members. The industry-wide scheme seeks to cut the sugar content of foods, and to provide targeted information about the risks and health consequences of excessive sugar consumption. SPAR Austria has already removed more than 2,500 tonnes of sugar from its private label products.
