Auchan collected more than HUF 23 million in donations for three charitable organizations
Auchan distributes more than HUF 23 million worth of Trust Points to the Symbiosis Foundation, the Hungarian Red Cross and the Together for Cancer Children Foundation. The department store chain regularly organizes collections among its customers, and last year alone provided a donation worth more than 500 million forints, and this time it donated 20 million forints worth of Trust Points, which the customers supplemented with an additional 3 million offered points.
At Auchan, the spring Trust Point donation campaign is already a tradition, so this year in March they wanted to make a joint offer with the customers to the organizations they selected. The collection ended with a good result, as the customers added 3,161,717 forints worth of Trust Points to the 20 million forints offered by Auchan, which will be distributed equally to three selected organizations, the Symbiosis Foundation, the Hungarian Red Cross and the Together for Cancer Children Foundation between. At the beginning of the collection, the heads of all three beneficiary charitable organizations emphasized that they are in great need of support due to the increased daily costs. The collected donation helps feed disabled adults through the Symbiosis Foundation, the Hungarian Red Cross provides the daily supply of basic food to families living in deep poverty through the Children’s Mouth program, and the Trust Points contribute to the financing of two children’s camps at the Együtt a Daganatos Gyermekért Alíptavny.
“Since 2020, we have organized a similar collection every March. Together with the current results, our customers and colleagues donated more than 78 million forints worth of Trust Points, which we supplement each time with a corporate donation. We are very proud of our customer community, we are grateful to them and we believe that together we can do a lot of good.”
– said Ildikó Varga-Futó, Auchan’s CSR director.
