It takes more time to find a job than a year ago
The proportion of active jobseekers in the domestic labor market decreased minimally in one year, every second worker is satisfied with their current position, or at least is not thinking about changing.
Profession.hu conducted its regular, quarterly representative survey at the beginning of 2024 by interviewing 1,500 people, in which it examines job search status and habits. Research conducted by Profession.hu in the first quarter of 2024 revealed that 36% of the Hungarian population aged 18-65 are passively looking for a new job, and 12% are actively looking for it. Almost half of the employees are satisfied with their current job and do not even think about changing, but almost a third of them would consider it because of a good offer, and 5% are consciously looking for a new job in addition to their current employment. The group of unemployed people who are actively looking for work and those who are just open to a good opportunity are of the same size (7%-7%), but 11% of them are not currently looking.
