Tobacco retailers ask for delaying the introduction of standardised packaging
On 7 November a conference was organised for National Tobacco Shop operators and their partners. It turned out that about 40-50 percent of tobacco shops are in a difficult situation, while the other half are doing well or prospering. The workforce shortage has a negative effect on tobacco shops. Tobacco sellers think that this retail channel will only be profitable in the future if they will be allowed to sell more products or to provide more services. They would also like to postpone the introduction of standardised tobacco product packaging to 2019. //
