Five out of ten companies expect an increase in the number of employees
The domestic labor market is currently characterized by a strong demand for candidates: in the first 9 months of 2023, an average of 59% more people applied for a job advertisement than in the same period of the previous year, the unemployment rate also increased, almost 12% on a year-on-year basis. Despite this, employers reported increased recruitment budgets and resource requirements, according to this year’s HR Map survey by Profession.hu.
Although companies can currently enjoy more room for maneuver in terms of recruitment compared to the previous year, as there are more available potential employees on the market, they are still more cautious and expectant on their part: in the first 9 months of 2023, on the most visited domestic job portal, Profession.hu, 17% fewer jobs were announced than during the same period last year.
