Food is a product of trust, so the Hungarian food industry can only be successful if this trust is firmly established, said Minister of Agriculture István Nagy on Tuesday, the 10th anniversary of the Food Chain Safety Office, at a celebration on the occasion of World Food Safety Day in Budapest.

The head of the ministry emphasized that the experience of recent years shows that the importance of the Hungarian food industry has grown enormously, and that there is a great need for high-quality domestic food. The proportion of domestic products in retail trade is constantly increasing, which shows the confidence of the Hungarian population in the domestic quality.
