Client-side encryption
Tresorit Kft. specialises in secure cloud storage with client-side encryption. Company founder and managing director István Lám told us: the problem with server-side encryption is that users lose control of their own data, for instance they can’t do anything if the service provider is obliged to make stored data public. What is more, data is also more exposed to hacker attacks as it is also the service provider who stores the encryption key. Mr Lám opines that it is SMEs who can profit the most from the so-called subscription economy.
