Milk misconceptions
Despite the fact that households with children consume 30 percent more milk, and they consume 5-6 times more often and occasionally one liter more milk than the, average, according to the survey of GfK Market Research Institute survey, milk misconceptions also appear among small children especially about heat-treated milk.
According to the survey, carried out among 8-14 year olds, the children until they are under parental control often consume this healthy drink. The milk is one of the favorite drink of children, but as they are growing up, other drinks, for example soft drinks became their favourite drinks. Among the 10-12 year olds, the misconception that preservatives can be found in the UHT milk is spreading, such as among adults. This misconception further increases among the 13-14 year-olds. The main reason is the lack of knowledge: this type of milk retains its quality for a long time, thanks to heat treatment and its packaging.
