Nearly 100 summer children’s toys, garden furniture and barbecues can be bought at Auchan hypermarkets at last year’s prices or even better. A pool barbeque party can be had for just over HUF 40,000 from the store chain’s wide selection, which includes more than 200 pieces of garden furniture and 140 types of barbeque equipment. In addition, Auchan offers the widest selection of massage and metal frame pools. Hundreds of products have become 20% cheaper compared to the season opening prices, so now it is really worth investing in relaxing at home for the summer.

In accordance with the “everything in one place” principle, Auchan stores sell many non-food product categories in addition to food. The department store chain is particularly strong in accessories for the summer and beach season. Moreover, these products are among the rare exceptions whose prices have not increased significantly in the past year. From more than 200 garden furniture and 140 grills (charcoal or gas grills, accessories, bacon grills), nearly 100 products can be taken away for the same price or even cheaper than last year at the opening of the season. So it seems that the inflationary effects and significant price increases in the food sector do not affect the range of products needed for vacations at home, which were 20% cheaper at Auchan at the beginning of the season than in recent months.

Of course, the particularly wide selection also shows a variance in terms of prices, but the cheapest equipment – which consists of an inflatable pool, a barbecue, four garden chairs and a table – costs just over HUF 40,000, which is enough for a pleasant summer evening barbecue in the garden he can also stand. It is worth mentioning that the charcoal at Auchan is also one of the cheapest on the market, which is currently offered at HUF 663 per kilo.
