After two years of recession the two largest Czech breweries increased their production again last year. According to market analysts; this indicates that the Czech beer industry leaves the nadir behind.

The Prazdroj last year sold 9.9 million hectoliters of beer of which 6.9 million hectoliters sold in the Czech market. Exports rose by 6 percent annually, while total sales by 1 percent.

The Staropramen brewed 3.03 million hectoliters of beer last year, increaing its annual production by eight percent – reports MTI.
