Yogurt was the star of last year
According to the retail datas of the MEMRB Market Research Bureau; Yoghurt products were able to achieve outstanding growth last year.
From 2008 to 2009 the FMCG market grew nearly 3 percent in Hungary. Taking the 4 percent annual inflation into account, it can be considered as stagnation. This is in line with the expectations in the year of the crisis.
The food categories were able to perform above the average. The total value of the yogurt market increased by 12 percent in value and 15 percent in volume, due to the growing popularity of healthy lifestyle and the marketing activity of the manufacturers – reports Világgazdaság Online.
