Mischievous webshops are targeted by the consumer protection authority
In the months of the pandemic, online shopping jumped a lot, once and a half times in March, twice in April, and once and a half times in May compared to the previous year. There have also been reports of stricter controls, which is also justified by the fact that consumer protection irregularities are more common in this area. In addition to the consumer protection authority, the Hungarian Competition Authority is also investigating. These investigations are otherwise not straightforward, as the authorities have to clearly prove the fact of the conviction, and in many cases a court decides on appeals.
