The Hungarian Tourism Agency is campaigning with personalized messages in nearby countries

In parallel with the international Budapest campaign, the Hungarian Tourism Agency (MTÜ) has also launched a campaign to promote Hungary, with advertisements targeting residents of countries that are within reach of Hungary by car for the first time in the summer of 2020 – the agency told MTI.

The communication emphasized that in the recovery from the coronavirus pandemic, it is essential that not only domestic tourism be relaunched, but that foreign travelers gradually begin to return at the same time as borders are opened.

During the campaign period from 16 June to the end of July, for the first time in Germany, Austria, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Serbia and Romania, MTÜ will start communicating, mainly using digital platforms, with short image films and other advertisements on Facebook and YouTube for families and groups of friends planning to travel to nearby countries, they write.
