Szatmári Malom builds new production facility and launches new products
Szatmári Malom Kft. will start production in their fully modernised Szeged mill in September. From a several billion forint budget state-of-the-art technology has been installed, thanks to which the mill will be able to process 200 tons of cereal a day. Last year the company’s sales revenue increased by 10 percent to HUF 11 billion. Together with the output of other mills, Szatmári Malom’s annual production capacity will grow to 300,000 tons, covering 25 percent of the domestic market.
Managing director Attila Tóth-Kása opines that competition is strong in the Hungarian flour market. He thinks that a growing proportion of Hungarian consumers are now looking for reliable manufacturers and healthier products, therefore demand is growing for non-traditional flours. This is why the company’s Szeged mill produces 150 tons of durum flour a day. Szatmári Malom’s experience is that using the Hungarian Product trademark can make their products more popular. //
