Successful first half of the year for Heineken
Thanks to the hot summer and growing demand for quality beer in the Asian market, Heineken products performed much better than expected in the first half of 2017. Profit increased by 5.9 percent to EUR 1.81 billion. CEO Jean-François van Boxmeer told that they had realised organic growth in volume, value and profit alike. Europe did much better than expected, especially the markets of Central Europe.
