The Romanian courier service Sameday is expanding in Hungary with the acquisition of Sprinter
he Romanian-based courier service Sameday, which operates easybox parcel machines, can expand its home delivery infrastructure in Hungary by 60 percent with the acquisition of its Hungarian sector partner, Sprinter, which operates Pick Pack Points – the company informed MTI on Wednesday.
Following the official approval of the acquisition, the number of collection points operated by the company may increase to 6,000 in its operational area, in Romania, Bulgaria and Hungary. No information was provided regarding the price of the transaction.
The more than 450 pick-up points (Pick Pack Points) of the Sprinter, which has been present on the market for more than 25 years, as well as the home delivery capacities of the courier company, will also strengthen the operation of the new owner, they said. Sprinter’s employees and subcontractors can continue their activities within the company, and customers can continue to use the previously used services as well as the new services after the acquisition.
