Spar: the company’s ten-year partner program employs more than 3,000 people
Spar Magyarország’s franchise network already includes a total of 237 stores in 114 settlements, which employ more than 3,000 people; the sales revenue of the partner stores exceeded HUF 82 billion last year – the company announced in connection with the opening of the first Spar partner store in Mór exactly ten years ago.

According to the announcement, the company’s strategic goal is to be available in more and more places, including in smaller settlements, in which, in addition to its own network, franchise partners play an important role. Today, the franchise system accounts for 10 percent of the retail turnover of the entire Spar network in Hungary.
Of the 237 stores that joined the franchise program in the last ten years, 34 are Spar partners, 66 are Spar markets, 86 are OMV-Spar Express and 51 are Lukoil-Despar stores.
An average of 23 new stores join the Spar partner program every year. Spar is primarily looking for contact with family businesses that have several years of commercial and retail experience and a stable financial background. It can be an advantage if they have franchise operating experience in retail, or even in another area – catering.
