Sonae MC: A key player in the field of recyclable packaging

In Portugal Sonae MC has been named the best retailer when it comes to the use of reusable, recyclable or compostable packaging. This was revealed in the annual report of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation. The Portuguese retailer finished 4th in the ranking as regards the percentage of reusable plastic incorporated in its packaging, surpassing companies like Starbucks and Delhaize. Sonae MC came in 7th in terms of the percentage of effectively reused, recyclable or compostable packaging.
