Peanut production can grow multiple times thanks to a new technology
Within two years, peanut production in Hungary can be multiplied, due to the new technology of the National Agency for Agricultural Research and Innovation (NAIK) and the Hungarian Horticultural Reproductive Material Nonprofit Ltd. (MKSZN) the MKSZN announced after the Peanut and Almond Conference on Thursday.
According to the announcement, although Hungary is located on the northern edge of the peanut growing countries, the demand for cultivation has increased dramatically in recent years both from the side of consumers and producers. With the new technology the producers are able to produce a greater amount of propagation material in a shorter time – they added. (MTI)
